Two Wolves ~ What Will You Choose??

I have a women's group that I attend for my therapy and this story was brought up a few weeks ago. The coordinators wrote it out for us and I wanted to share it with you. It is such a good illustration that we become who we are by what we spend our energy on.

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his granson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply relied, "The one you feed."

What a wonderful analogy - I will be sharing this with my children tomorrow night during our Bible time.
