Remember Me? I Blog Here....

Wow!! She posts!! Yes I KNOW that it has been almost forever since I have posted on my blog. I've been busy getting some christmas stuff done and I haven't been doing much digital scrapbooking.

Melody's little lady bedding will be ordered tomorrow. She is getting so big, she's 7 now!! I can't believe that she is 7 already!! So, when that comes I will take some pictures of her room (we redid the whole thing and moved a ton of furniture around) and of her new bedding. Hummy (the red betta) has moved into Melody's room and she is beyond thrilled to have him in her room.

Aizen is doing more walking and is just stinking adorable. He's so cute. He will now give hugs and kissies on command and I just love when he walks over to me and gives me hugs.

Earlier this year some mums at one of my homeschooling sites, yep I still keep in contact with them even though Melody is going to school, we all got together and did a cookbook. Well mine arrived in the mail yesterday and it was such a surprise and blessing to receive them. I got 2 extras for Melody and Aizen for when they get older and married. There is a tribute to Ruby on the dedication page. I can't wait to get making some of the recipes. Here is the cover page to it.

Well that's it for me tonight. See you guys later!!

Starting Christmas Stuff Already

So I have decided that this year I will be doing a homemade Christmas. I have lots of things on my list so if you know the person it is going to .... you are bound to silence or I will have to tickle you!!! muahahahahahhahahaha

I won't be sharing what I am making my inlaws or my mom as they check my blog every so often.

I'd encourage all of you to think about making a homemade gift for someone. It truly does brighten up someone's day to see something that you took so much time and effort into making.

Later taters.

Melody In Her Roo Dress

Here are some pictures of Melody is her Roo dress. We just got back from swimming lessons and I wanted her to try it on. Now she won't take it off. This is my child who HATED to wear dresses before. Guess I should have started making her dresses ages ago. LOL She had fun doing a funny pose. These were taken in our front yard. We have a gorgeous tree!!

Special Dress For Melody

We were going to bury Ruby's ashes last weekend but there were lots of Thunderstorms up in Muskoka so we have postponed it for this weekend on the 16th (which is super sad b/c Roo would have been 40 months old that day).

Melody has been going through a big grief cycle the past 2 weeks and I wanted to make her something special to wear this weekend. On one of my forums a mom made a cute dress for her daughter (who is just itty bitty and cute as a button) and a couple of links to pillow dresses. I took what I like about all of them and made this little dress up for her.

While I was sewing it, Melody came down missing her sister. She saw what I was doing and the tears just started to flow. I asked her what was wrong and she said "That's mine and Ruby's fabric mommy."

The summer before Ruby died, Melody and I had picked this fabric out so I could make something for the 2 girls that matched. It has been in storage and I had forgotten about it. Isn't it amazing that Abba had me get this particular fabric out for this occasion??

Mama's Brain

I've finally decided to make my home journal. I found this really gorgeous martha stewart scrapbooking paper at walmart yesterday and decided it would be perfect for this craft.

I had fun with some of the names of the categories. I hope you enjoy them. The first two pictures are of the spine & cover and of the back. It has the scripture of Proverbs 31: 10-31 (about the proverbs woman ... someone I am striving to be everyday)
